Summarize a spreadsheet
A profile of every column — types, blanks, totals, ranges, most common values — plus what in the data is worth a look.
How it works
Your file is opened in an isolated sandbox with no internet access, processed, and the sandbox is destroyed. Nothing is stored, and no account is needed.
It uses the same reader as the full product, which is built for the spreadsheets people actually have: headers that are not on row 1, merged cells, totals rows pasted at the bottom, dates in two formats, and numbers stored as text. Everything it changes is listed back to you.
Common questions
What does the summary include?
For each column: its type, how many cells are filled and blank, how many distinct values, and either the min, max, average and total (numbers), the earliest and latest date (dates), or the three most common values (text).
What is 'worth a look'?
Things computed straight from the rows that a colleague would point out: the headline change between periods, the group growing or falling fastest, an unusual month, one group carrying most of the total, a column that is mostly empty. No AI writes these, so no figure is invented.
Does it fix the file too?
It reads the file the way DataMimi does — real header row, merged cells, totals rows removed — but it gives you a report, not a changed copy. Use Clean a messy spreadsheet for that.
How big a file can it handle?
Up to 50 MB with no signup, which is several hundred thousand rows for a typical export.
