Convert a bank statement PDF to Excel
One row per transaction, amounts as numbers, every page in one sheet.
How it works
Your file is opened in an isolated sandbox with no internet access, processed, and the sandbox is destroyed. Nothing is stored, and no account is needed.
It uses the same reader as the full product, which is built for the spreadsheets people actually have: headers that are not on row 1, merged cells, totals rows pasted at the bottom, dates in two formats, and numbers stored as text. Everything it changes is listed back to you.
Common questions
How do I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?
Upload the PDF you downloaded from your bank. Each transaction becomes one row with its date, description and amounts in their own columns, across every page, and you download it as an .xlsx file.
Does it work with statements that have no table lines?
Yes. Most statements line their columns up with spaces rather than ruling lines. The reader follows the headings — Date, Description, Withdrawals, Deposits, Balance — and places each amount under the heading it lines up with.
What about descriptions that run onto a second line?
A line that does not start with a date is treated as the rest of the transaction above it, so a long description stays in one cell.
Can it read a scanned statement?
Not a scan: a photographed or scanned page has no text to read. Download the statement as a PDF from your bank's website instead.
Are the amounts numbers I can add up?
Yes. Thousands separators and currency signs are removed and the amounts are written as numbers, so SUM and pivot tables work straight away.
