Analyze Survey Data from CSV
When you analyze survey data from CSV files, you're working with exports from Typeform, Google Forms, or SurveyMonkey that have one row per response and one column per question. Gigasheet loads these files and lets you filter, group, and cross-reference answers without writing formulas or learning statistical software.
Upload your survey export and start filtering, grouping, and cross-referencing responses in the same interface—no pivot tables, no formulas, no separate statistical software.
Drop your file in and ask a question — no account needed.

Common questions
How do I analyze survey data from CSV without Excel formulas?
Upload the CSV to Gigasheet and use the filter and group controls in the column headers. Click a column to see response counts, or group by one column and filter by another to cross-reference answers without writing a formula.
Can I filter survey responses by date range?
Yes. Click the submission date column header, choose the date filter, and set the range. The sheet updates to show only responses from those dates, and all other columns reflect that subset.
How do I read open-ended survey responses more easily?
Click the text-response column and use the filter to show only non-empty cells. Gigasheet displays the full text in the cell without truncating, and you can sort by length or search for keywords across all responses.
What is the best way to compare answers between two survey questions?
Group by the first question's column, then add a secondary group by the second question. Gigasheet shows a breakdown of how each answer to the first question splits across answers to the second, with counts for each combination.
How do I remove test responses or incomplete surveys from the data?
Filter by the completion status column to show only complete responses, or filter out rows where the email contains your team's domain. You can then export the cleaned data or continue analysis on the filtered set.
Try it with your own file
DataMimi reads the file you actually have — merged cells, headers below row one, totals pasted at the bottom — and shows which rows and columns every number came from.
