Common questions
How is the selling price calculated?
The calculator takes your product cost plus the shipping you pay and divides it by 100% minus the marketplace fee %, payment fee % and target margin %. For example, $20 cost + $5 shipping with 15% + 3% fees and a 20% margin gives a price of about $40.32 and about $8.06 profit per order.
Why does the selling price show 0?
If the marketplace fee, the payment fee and your target margin add up to 100% or more, no price can reach that margin, so the price shows 0. Lower your target margin or check that the fee percentages are typed correctly.
Is the margin based on cost or on the selling price?
The margin is profit as a share of the selling price, not a markup on cost. Both fees are also charged on the selling price. The Actual margin result shows the margin you get at the rounded price.
Does it cost anything, and is my data kept private?
